Are you a night owl and enjoy the peace at night like me? I enjoy late-night working but I lose focus and it turns out watching reels on Instagram (relatable?). And this practice makes me hungry. Even if studying late is your favorite thing to do but you are gaining weight, Don’t lose hope! 

I am sharing my top 5 favorite healthy eating tips so you stay fit and carry on munching.

 

Snack Smartly:

Yes, you are reading it right. Snacking does not make you gain weight. But the key is to snack smartly. My favorite late-night snack is sunflower seeds. They are rich in nutrients and give you satiety value. Other options include your favorite nuts or yogurt with the fruit you like. You can create fun DIY snacks and save them for your late-night cravings.

 

Hydration Station:

Our generation needs caffeine to remain awake during the day to do the chores. Or we may rely on them during the night for study sessions. This leads to dehydration results in fatigue. The solution is to increase water intake in the form of fruits and herbal teas or infused waters. Here’s a quick smoothie that can hydrate you during the night. Just take some pineapple chunks with some yogurt. Add vanilla essence for extra flavor. You can add honey or dates for some added sweetness. Voila! It's ready!

 

Balanced Bites:

For my late-night cravings, I used to make a Chikki which many of you have already seen or eaten. And believe me, Chikki takes you to another level of your late-night cravings. This is a healthy alternative if it is cooked with brown sugar. Just caramelize some brown sugar and add your favorite nuts like almonds, peanuts, or a mixture of nuts. Just lay it flat and enjoy it after some time.

Other perfectly balanced bites may include dipping bananas into almond butter or peanut butter and it tastes so heavenly.

The only secret that can put away some kgs is mindfulness during snacking. Mindfulness can hack the brain by making the stomach full. I am sharing a quick mindfulness hack. Just before grabbing a snack, take a moment to observe the color and texture of the food. Take small bites and chew slowly. It will help you from overeating and involving your brain leads to better digestion.

Preparation before time is the ultimate hack that can make you stay fit. There are many options like healthy sandwiches that can be prepared before time and served to you at your late-night sessions. Watch for the tutorials that teach you to meal prep and try according to your likes. With a little effort, you can keep junk and extra kilos away from you.
