DYSON AIRWRAP MULTISTYLER - A COMPLETE REVIEW

The DYSON AIRWRAP is a worthwhile buy if you have money, heat style frequently, and don’t mind that your curls won’t stay in place all day. It will be fine if you aren’t expecting a lot from the product.

But there are many inexpensive knockoffs available for individuals who style their hair more casually. So this article will help you make a decision about whether you should invest in a such pricey product.

IN THE BOX

The product comes with a travel case that will look beautiful on your vanity.

 Dyson Airwrap™ styler Complete

The complete long comes with six attachments:

  • Coanda Smoothing Dryer
  • 1.2-inch Airwrap long Barrel
  • 1.6-inch Airwrap long Barrel
  • Firm Smoothing Brush
  • Soft Smoothing Brush
  • Round Volumizing Brush

These accessories are all packaged in a large storage container similar to the original Airwrap with the base controller rod.

WHAT SPECIFICALLY HAS CHANGED WITH THE NEW DYSON AIRWRAP?

There is a “latest technology” flag to indicate that this is new airwrap(and the first generation is no longer available on the website)  if you visit the Airwrap page on Dyson website (opens in a new tab). Following are some of its adaptations:

Ø What benefits does the new technology provides , then?

The Coanda Air Tech from original airwrap is back, but with attachments designed to maximize its usage. This is fancy phrase for how tool depends on air rather than heat to style.

Ø Three different models

This new iteration also comes in three models:

  1.  The Dyson Airwrap Complete for short- to medium-length hair.
  2.  The Dyson Airwrap Complete Long for hair that's chest-length or longer.
  3.  The Dyson Airwrap Complete Coily/Curly for, you guessed it, coily and curly hair.

  • Biggest attachment upgrades

The attachments are by far the most notable improvements when it comes to what has changed.

1. Direction changing curling barrels

The most glaring issue of the original Airwrap was probably that you had to switch out your barrel in order to change the direction of your curls, which required the usage of two barrels if you didn't want absolutely uniform curls.

The new Airwrap offers a solution in the shape of a switch at the tip of both the 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch barrels, allowing you to easily adjust the curl direction. This has ease up the trouble of changing the barrel again and again.

2. Dual purpose smoothing dryer attachment

The upgraded Airwrap's Coanda smoothing dryer surprised me the most with its following features

  • A fast twist guides the air out of the smoothing end, which controls frizz as it dries and holds sections of hair similarly to the curling wand attachments, while the other end blows out a startling quantity of hot air for an overall dry.
  • A very long hair would dry in 10 to 15 minutes and it will work excellent for smoothing without brushing.
  • It really improves over the old  pre-styling dryer that was included with the original Airwrap.

The smoothing brushes have also undergone some minor design adjustments, but nothing quite as major as the previous two

attachments.

Important Note

I'm delighted to inform that (by reviews of people using it )all of these attachments are compatible with both the new and previous generations of the Airwrap.

This  may have owners of the original generation Airwrap staring at the upgraded curling barrel and raising their fist in the air right now.

And as you would expect from a tool that costs this much, all the attachments snap into place easily and feel snug and firm when in use.

HOWEVER THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE WITH DYSON AIRWRAP

If you use revlon one step  (the Dyson's classic point of comparison), you will see it is relatively easy to use even if you have middling hair-styling skills. One will expect  much of the same with the Airwrap, especially as it's often treated as superior to the One-Step.

Every attachment, with the exception of the curling barrels, fit this description. You were misled by TikToks. No matter where your hair is sitting, it doesn't merely grasp the ends with ease.

You will discover that it was crucial to take hold of the appropriate-sized portion of hair, hold it apart from the rest of your head to prevent the barrel from catching any additional hair, and then let the ends hang loosely so the styler would really catch it.

Once you figure that out, it will become much easier, but finding the right tension and sized section (which can be tricky with longer hair), takes some skill.

Using The dyson Airwrap Complete

If you have bought it and  are now using it you will find following outcomes

  • The drying effect will definitely impress you.
  • The straightening is also satisfactory to some extent.
  •  For blow dry first you have to spend a good deal of time on learning and then may be you are going to be fine with the result
  • Coming to curls if you have short hair then may be the product is for you. But , having long thick hair you will find it quite a difficult task to curl and that for only sometimes. As it will fall quite easily

THE GOOD

  • It dries hair fast and causes as little heat damage as possible.
  • You may curl hair in both directions with only one curling attachment.
  • There are many possibilities for various smooth hairstyles.
  • Enables you to try out various hairstyles

THE BAD

  • You will shell out more than $500 for a hair tool.
  • The learning curve for the curling attachment is tough.
  • It takes ages to curl your hair, especially if you want the curls to remain.
  • It will require some storage room.

CONCLUSION

The Dyson Airwrap is interesting in that I anticipated it to work some genuine miracles considering it costs $600 for a hair styler. Not even the price tag by itself gave me that impression.

I was led to assume that Dyson had genuinely struck hair gold by the innumerable TikToks, YouTube videos, and its nearly perpetual sold-out status. But I found out it is a normal product just with an abnormal price tag.

If you already own the Airwrap, you 100 percent do not need to upgrade. At the very least, grab a couple of new attachments, but save your money — you've already made the big investment.
