FUN REASONS TO BINGE ‘EMILY IN PARIS’

Have you ever watched a show that’s so bad that you can’t stop watching it? 

Well, that’s what most of the Emily in Paris reviews I’ve read online are saying. In fact, it made me curious so I decided to binge-watch it during summer break, and I have to say, it’s a perfect combination of comedy, romance and friendship.

You’re curious too now, aren’t you? Come, I’ll tell you all about it! 

A Quick Summary

The story is based on a girl named Emily Cooper played by the ‘ever-so-beautiful’ Lily Collins. Emily Cooper is a charming happy-go-lucky girl from America. She shifts to Paris for her new job role in a French marketing firm. As she arrives there, she has to face her boss who isn’t impressed by her presence and her quirky style. However, Emily doesn’t change herself to ‘fit in’ and remains authentic and optimistic throughout these challenges.

As the social butterfly that she is, making new friends and charming dreamy French men comes easy to her. Oh, and she also makes an Instagram account posting her everyday life and perfect selfies. That is not all that is in this show though. It also shows how Emily faces this new life in Paris without having any clue how to speak French.

Sounds entertaining, no? Let’s talk about some fun reasons why you should totally check this show out!

1- The main lead casting is top-notch!

Lily Collins, as the main female lead of this show, plays the role of Emily Cooper perfectly. Not only does she have a beautiful face but she is a talented actress as well. Even so, Emily has her flaws you are unable to hate her because Lily makes it so likeable. 

Lucas Bravo as Gabriel plays the role of Emily’s potential love interest. He is the handsome French chef plus neighbour of Emily who lives downstairs to her apartment. If I am being honest, he is the reason why most girls wanted to check this show out including me. Also, it was not just Emily and Gabriel but we felt the spark between them as well!

 2- Emily’s chic wardrobe is a must-have!

Emily’s boss might not have loved her style but I sure did. All of her fits were pleasing to watch in every episode. Furthermore, I love how she wears vibrant outfits mostly which show off her loud personality very well. The styling team of this show has done a great job!

3- Female friendships all the way! 

The show revolves a lot around Emily’s friendship with her female friends mainly her best friend, Mindy. Emily connects instantly with Mindy and they become besties. As a result, they both support each other and help to deal with the troubles that life throws at them. 

 4- Paris is always a good idea!

Of course, the show is based in Paris and how can we miss that!? Many beautiful landmarks and famous buildings of the ‘City of Love’ have made an appearance in this show. Moreover, the cinematography and visuals of the show are outstanding. If you can’t afford to visit Paris anytime soon, you can watch this show for a free trip!

Season 4 of Emily in Paris on Netflix is going to be released soon. I suggest you binge-watch previous seasons over this weekend and see how life unfolds for Emily. Without any doubt, this show is a great addition to our boring lives!
