Grandparents- possess high regard. Especially, Grandma shares a sweet relationship with her grandchild. We all have seen those grandma and food memes, how she is just obsessed with spoiling us with her tasty food. However, not everyone is as lucky as some people who can relate to those memes and laugh. Some other people had become a victim of their grandmother’s cruelty. Here are our Ten rudest and weirdest stories that people shared.  

1- Ugly, Boring, Big Elephant Ears

Comparison is a robber that attacks self-esteem, especially if you are getting compared with other kids when you are only five years old. A user shared how her grandma made her insecure about her looks. She called her fat, ugly, big elephant ears, and whatnot. She recalls an event when she was only five years old and how grandma humiliated her by taking her to the hairdresser without her will, thinning her hair, and making it too small while she was screaming and crying.  

2- Racism- No Color is Superior

Racism is a disease, and treating people based on color is a symptom. Be careful of that! Well, another commenter shared how she was treated differently because of her race. And the one who made her insecure of her own identity was none other than her blood- her grandma. She shared an incident when she was 18, and her grandma made her cry at a family dinner. 

3- Suck it up and Smile- Divorce a Stigma

We live in the 21st century- a world that invented self-driving cars, but divorce has always remained a stigma. A young girl shared news of her divorce with her grandma because they were unhappy, to which she replied being married isn't always about happiness. Do I look happy with your grandpa? You gotta suck it up and smile.      

4- Unladylike– Just Like Your Mother

Growing up, we had fantasies of being like our mother. We would walk in her shoes and dress up like her because we admired her so much. Well, some people get insulted by being like their mother. A girl shared how she gets negatively compared by her mother and is called words like “lazy” and “unladylike” because of the way she sits.  






 

5- Overly Opinionative For a Girl

Another day and another say- an opinion is also now gender-biased. A girl shared how her grandma treated her differently her entire life because she was told that she was “too opinionated for a girl!” Because it does not go that way. Well, at this point, if you are a girl, you have to stop breathing right now!  

6- Lose Some Weight!

Wanting to lose weight to fit in is a wrong mindset. It can turn into obsession, and obsession can take dangerous twists. A young boy shared the way he got bullied by his granny because he "ate too much" food, and kids of his age should have a certain weight. He shared further that he got obsessed with starving himself and got depressed.  

7- Get a Plastic Surgery

Getting similar features from your relatives is common, but when they mock you for that, it would be another level of insecurity. A commenter shared the mockery she faced because she had a similar nose to her grandma. Her granny would always ask her to get nose surgery to get rid of that nose like she did.     

8- A Living Hell (Trigger Warning)

Encouraging inhumane things like domestic violence is a top-tier crime. A girl shared how her grandma made her and her mother’s life a living hell. She used to fire up his son to beat his wife. That is beyond cruel, and no one deserves to experience that.    

9- It’s Givin’...Insecurity!

Growing up we interact with all grownups who are still full of insecurities but they are unaware of it. For instance, a lady shared an occurrence when her grandma commanded her to not feel pretty because could pass a “paper bag test”. Imagine telling a 12-year-old who is clueless about these tests just you can’t pass a lame test. 

10- No Kids, Out of Will

The last story we have is kind of funny and rude at the same time. Well, several decisions should not be taken under someone’s influence, and having kids is one of them. A man shared that he never wanted to have a kid in his entire life. So he told his grandma, and the next thing he knew, that she kicked him out of her will.
