 I am the type of person who always goes for things like, you can emotionally have an attachment with them as they give you a serene feeling of being alive, as emotions are the indicator that you are full of life person.

So, if we talk about emotional attachment, the books give you that feeling.

If, you are a book lover and fond of reading books you always go to find a book by your favorite author and add it to your collection of books shelves.

While reading a book you get less distracted as compared to digital reading because there are lots of other options too while reading on digital gadgets. You got absorbed in the words of a book and it has a more impact on you, while you are moving the tips of your finger on the lines of the book. 

Some people are also in love with the smell of old books as those books give them  nostalgic feelings, and those feelings give them a bright smile.

So, sometimes sit with a cup of tea with the book in your hands or on your lap, while watching a sunset through your window and words are waving in your mind like a flowers wave in a cool breeze and those words cause ripples in your mind like stone cause ripples in the water 

2. Easily Portable 

In this fast-moving world, humans prefer their comfort first so what have you thought is easier than a lot of books in a bag or lots of learning material on your laptop, mobile, or any other device?

So, digital reading in this context makes it easier to access a lot of information on a single device as it is not an easy thing to carry a lot of books everywhere whether you are in a bus or an airplane or any kind of transport, traveling anywhere in the world, you can easily have an access to any kind of information.

You may hear a famous saying that the internet makes this world a global village, this quote is very true as we can see online learning has a vast scope with bundles of the information available on your devices.

Book reading gives you limited options in case of up-gradation, as it takes a lot of time and effort to publish a book and it goes through a detailed process to make it available in our hands.

You can find a lot of libraries all over the world, even in your city you can find a library too. These libraries hold a treasure of books in them.

For the storage of old and new books, you have to define a place for them in your house, a beautiful side corner shelves or a cupboard with glass doors through which books can be seen arranged in a perfect order gives you a pleasant look with different colored book covers.

But if you are a book enthusiast and like to buy books then sometimes it becomes difficult to assemble a lot of books, but in the case of digital learning you just need a space in your device to save up even a thousand books in the file storage of your mobile or you can also save it in google drive on your laptop. 

In this way, you can also save a lot of your time just by searching the name of your relevant book or article you want to read, pop up on the search bar of your device and you have easy access to information.

While in the case of books you have to search it by name and sometimes it becomes difficult to find your relevant book on time, as you do not know where exactly you have put it.

7. Book marks or Digital reminders 

You need a pause while reading a book, you can easily mark the sentence where you have ended it and then continue from there and even there are lots of bookmarks in very different and beautiful shapes available which reminds you to continue your reading where you have stopped it.

One thing which is very beneficial in the case of a book is highlighters, you can easily highlight or mark your favorite sentence or the important information you later can see easily. 

While during digital reading, if you need a pause and open the article again, your digital device opens the same page where you have stopped reading it but it does not mark the particular word or sentence where you have stopped reading it, and also you cannot underline or highlight your important information. 

8. Educational Institutes 

The importance of books cannot deny at the institutional level as schools, colleges, and universities, all these institutes rely on books for the transfer of information. Every student in a class with the same books on the same page in their hands creates harmony and it becomes easier for a teacher to regulate them.

Digital learning in schools are slowly processing in universities teacher use projector to present information instead of using a whiteboard, all the information are already displayed in the form of power-point slides, and students in schools also enjoyed learning through animated media displayed with the help of digital devices.

9. Flexibility Factor

No doubt, digital learning provides you flexibility in a way when you are reading an article or a book and you are stuck on a certain word or sentence, you just open another tab on your device and search for it what does it mean or even know detailed information about that particular word, sentence or paragraph.

Books are not flexible, in this case as you have to take the information from the book as it is written and there is no detailed explanation about it if you are stuck on a particular sentence or word.

10. Loss of Data

Once the words are published in form of books, you can save it without any fear of losing your data as there are lots of copies of that book available in the market.

But if you save any data on your digital devices, then any technical error or any damage to the device causes the loss of data from your device and sometimes it becomes difficult to attain the same information.

11. Effect of book reading and digital reading on a personality of a person

How do a book reading and digital reading make a difference in ones life?

Usually, the person who is fond of reading books are content with their lives and to escape from other entertainment ways in which other people are involved, they prefer to read books as those give them the peace of mind and also a way to reduce their depression and the books become a source of discovering many worlds for them.

Digital reading is considered to be a quick source of information, so the people who are very busy in their lives even do not have time for them, they prefer to go with the direct and easy source of information, and they do not like to dive into the river of knowledge, they just go with the piece of information they want and the rest of the reading is not essential for them.
