NATURAL MAKEUP FOR SCHOOL- STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS

Have you too struggled with achieving a “clean girl” makeup look that had the internet in a chokehold? Are you too huffing and puffing trying to get the I woke up like this makeup look before school? Fret not! Here's a simple step by step guide to keep up with the latest IT girl trend.

STEP 1: SKINCARE

Makeup is art and the first step in creating a masterpiece is to prepare the canvas. A good makeup look depends on a good skincare routine. Start with a clean face and use your favorite hydrating moisturizer. To take it up a notch, you can use a hydrating toner followed by a good serum before locking it all in with a moisturizer.

STEP 2: PRIMER

Use a lightweight, hydrating primer to create a smooth base before layering on any makeup. This is a crucial step in achieving a flawless look. Primer not only makes your makeup look flawless but also ensures that it stays all day long!

STEP 3: FOUNDATION

Switching your foundation for a BB cream or a skin tint will give you a more natural look while evening out your skin tone. However, if you want a little bit of coverage, you can always opt for a lightweight foundation.

STEP 4: CONCEALER

Spot concealing is the best way to neutralize your blemishes and dark circles while maintaining a natural look. Make sure you use a hydrating concealer that blends smoothly into your skin. Otherwise, it could turn into a cakey mess and that is the last thing we want.

STEP 5: EYEBROWS

A clean defined brow enhances your look like nothing else! Use an eyebrow pencil or powder to define the natural shape of your brows. Fill in any sparse areas that need a little more attention and avoid going down the dramatic arch lane.

STEP 6: EYES

It's all in the eyes, chico! Go for a neutral palate or a nude shade to brush your eyelids with. Follow it up with a dash of mascara and a brown/black shadow liner that will really enhance your eyes. Moreover, if you add a white pencil on your waterline it will make your eyes pop and appear bigger.

STEP 7: BLUSH

Using a blush shade closer to your natural lip shade will give you a natural flush. You can always choose your favorite shade but using minimal product and blending it well will ensure a seamless finish. A little blush on your nose and apples of your cheek will give you a sunkissed, rosy glow!

STEP 8: LIPS

Using a lip balm or a gloss will make your lips look plump and add an element of freshness to your look. Pick out a shade that is closest to your natural lip colour or compliments your tone the best. Subtly defining your lips with a lip liner before going in with a gloss is a fool-proof hack even for emergency touch ups.

STEP 9: SETTING

Set your look with a press powder and go in with a mist of setting spray. Avoid using too much powder to ensure your makeup doesn't look cakey. Moreover, Wet a sponge with some setting spray and lightly dab your face to make sure everything is blended and locked in.

CONCLUSION

Congratulations! You have reached the end of natural makeup 101 and now have mastered the art of a no-makeup makeup look. Remember, practice makes perfect and the best trick is to enhance your own natural beauty, not mask it!
