Three Watches Are On The Way

According to leaks and reports, three watches are expected to launch this September. It is going to be a massive shakeup since the release of the first Apple watch. Obviously, there will be an updated standard model, the series 8. Then, there is going to be the Apple watch SE 2, which makes sense as the original SE is now two years old. 

The third watch, according to Mark Gurman, is a ruggedized version aimed at extreme sports athletes. Analysts are calling it the Extreme Edition given its features targeting triathletes who go through extreme conditions. That’s interesting, right?

Design

However, @LeaksApplePro is clear that there will be no redesign in any of the new Apple watches.

Health and Fitness Features

Being a fitness freak myself, health features are the reason I wait for Apple watch launch every year. According to sources, including the Wall Street Journal, Apple has been working on several health features. 

These include blood-pressure monitors, blood-sugar sensors, sleep apnea detectors, and fertility thermometers. Medicine management and various exercise options are also being developed. A few of them might appear in the new Apple watch 2022. There is also a word about a major update in activity tracking, although no one knows about the specific changes. 

Apple Watch S8 Chip 

Bloomberg reported that the new Apple watch 2022 will have a faster and more efficient S8 chip. Unlike the last S7 chip, which was a rebranded S6 chip. This makes the S8 chip the biggest upgrade in two years for Apple.

Price

Analysts are expecting the price to be close to the existing S7 series, considering the past track of Apple. There is no word regarding the Extreme Edition price, but it is not expected to be cheaper than the Apple watch series 8. This seems about right regarding the new and advanced features and rugged design. The price of the Apple watch series 8 in Pakistan (if Apple sticks with the S7 price) will be around Rs. 84,000 for 41mm and increase with size, case, and band options.

Other Features

There are going to be several other features in the new Apple watch.

• Size: Leaks by Ross Young states that there might be three sizes in 2022. The unknown third size might join the size options 41mm and 45mm.

• New Speaker Grille: It is expected to have the overall quality and volume boost of the onboard speaker for music, calls, Siri, and notifications.

• Low Power Mode: Like iPhone, the Apple watch will now have a low power mode.
