Background :

Red Notice is an action-comedy directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber who is well-known for his expertise in merging high-stake action sequences with humor. The star-studded cast included Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in lead roles.

The movie had a brief theatrical release on 5th Nov, 2021 and it was released on Netflix on 12th Nov, 2021. You would be surprised to know that Red Notice on Netflix became the most watched film in its debut weekend and the 5th most streamed movie title of 2021 on the streaming giant.

Plot Summary:

Red Notice, issued by Interpol to capture the most wanted art thief " The Bishop", forces FBI top-profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) into a situation where he has to join hands with a rival art-thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds). As the sequence of events unfolds, they find themselves accompanying each other to hunt down "The Bishop" . But things do not always turn out as they seem to be.

1- Storyline:

You would be surprised how a weak and incoherent storyline can make all the hard work go in vain. The critics stated that the story line was too bland to make an impact because of lots of double-crosses and useless twists. The plot definitely becomes boring along the way but some action sequences and comedy make up for it.

2- Cast:

As you already know the movie had the best cast it could have but they just didn't fit in the character. You have The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) who by the way didn't rock the way he should have and Wonder Woman( Gal Gadot) who failed to deliver the character.

But then you have Ryan Reynolds whose dialogue delivery and facial expressions combined with humor made him a hit and saved the movie.Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopoulos among the others were also part of the cast.
