Undoubtedly, makeup is part of a female's life. We, ladies, like to glam up our faces. For this purpose, we invest our money in buying cosmetics and then time and energy into learning this art. But we should be catering to these things smartly. Here are some tips and tricks for you if you are a beginner in this field.
1. Unveil Your Best Skin Yet:
If you want your makeup to look flawless and perfect then you got to do some work. Skin care comes first. If you are a beginner start from the basics.
Find a simple skincare routine that works for you. You can find a skincare guide on florence blog.
2. Revitalize Your Skin with Moisturizer:
Moisturize your skin a few moments before makeup, it would prevent dryness which could cause patchiness later on. Moreover, it's better to use a Primer before getting straight into applying cosmetics so that the makeup has a base to set on.
3. Discover Your Skin Tone:
Get base and concealers that are a little lighter than your skin tone. It would elevate your skin tone. Beware, a way too lighter tone can give you a ghostly look. Besides, some products are oily and won’t work for your already oily skin while others are moisture absorbing which won't go with your dry skin. Thus understanding your skin is very important.
4. Apply Makeup in Sun’s Light:
Once I got ready in my room with windows and doors closed. After getting all dolled up I just accidently cast a glance of myself in the lounge’s mirror. And I got shocked. This is not the way how I did my Makeup lol. So, if you want to save yourself from such Oops moments then apply make in Natural light. As Makeup looks different in natural and artificial light.
5. Concealer Technique:
It’s a common practice to apply concealer under your eyes in a semi-circle, but experts say otherwise. The correct way is to apply in an inverted triangular shape under your eyes up to the tip of your nose. In this way, it would blend seamlessly.
Let me give you a pro tip: Always apply concealer after the foundation so that you don’t end up being too caky.
6. Foundation with Downward Strokes:
As humans, we have hair on our faces. You can remove facial hair before makeup if you feel like doing so. Otherwise, apply the foundation with downward movements so that the hair doesn’t get accentuated.
7. Prefer Single Colors:
Most of us keep counting on three to four colors over and over again. Those compartments get empty while others remain untouched. I guess, for eye shadows and Blushes, we should go for buying single color. It would benefit us in two ways:
Conclusion:
If tutorials are becoming a noise for you and are giving you anxiety, perhaps it’s because you are stuffing your mind with a lot of content. Start from the basics. It would be fun. Take makeup easily!
