The world is progressing wildly, same as the awareness. People are more interested today in their hygiene and skincare routine. That’s great. We often hear about glowing and supple skin and want rosy cheeks with dewy skin texture; who doesn’t want it? It’s not at all burdensome---surprised?

Well, this article is for you. We will discuss easy-to-follow steps that help you achieve your desired glowing complexion. Building a custom skincare routine is not heavy.

Custom Skincare Routine

As the name suggested, skincare steps adoption according to your needs and skin type. Your skin approves the best. Instead of a general, custom routine is recommended to the masses. Now, you are aware of this dialect. Let’s build your regimen.

Skin type

The foremost step is to identify your skin type. Usually, four types are discussed; normal, oily, combination, and dry. Also, I want to add sensitive skin in the row.

How to get glowing skin

Unpopular opinion: healthy skin over a fair complexion is always the body's need. It’s been a discussion, long ago. Now, the glowing skin is the bandwagon. Smooth skin without blemishes, and dark spots, minimum breaks, and even texture falls in the glowing skin category. The Internet offers suggestions and remedies to get supple and radiant skin. However, all is not for all. Am I right?

Right!

Let’s break down the business

Cleanser

You have been in the office all day long or at home, doesn't matter. Our skin is vulnerable to dust, which resides on the face. Select a mild cleanser and wipe out all the impurities. It will help the skin look vibrant and healthy. This exercise requires 3 minutes only.

No! Then choose the best cleanser out

Toner

One of my favorites: while applying I feel like my skin is drinking water---that’s funny though, but it is what it is. Mild toners unlike alcohol-based refresh the skin. A combination of essential oils, acids, and vitamins supports the effectiveness of your cleanser. It feels like you are applying conditioner after shampoo.

However, the toner selection is important. Three types of formulas are available in the market:

·         Alcohol-based toner

·         Glycerin-based toner

·         Water-based toner

Choose your best one, and use it twice a day.

Exfoliation

Scrub exfoliates and removes the dead skin cells. It helps to remove oil and debris from the clogged pores and provides a smooth texture. Take a small amount of scrub and gently apply it on your face in a circular motion. Do not forget your T-Zone; a favorite place for white and blackheads to stay. Choose the right exfoliator for your skin type because some can irritate due to their texture. It is fine to use face scrub twice a week, not more than that.

Face mask

An additional meal for the skin; the extracted vitamins and nutrient-rich ingredients hydrate the skin. Face masks deeply moisturize or purify the skin, it depends upon your selection. For example, some masks are used to control sebum production while others rehydrate the skin by keeping the pH balance. It helps to reduce dark spots, shrink large pores, and heal acne if used twice a week.

Serum

We, girls, are very interested in anti-aging treatments. And why not, it is our right, Right?

Serums are used for treating fine lines, wrinkles, acne, dark spots, and dry skin. According to a study, after 24 we should add serums to our skincare routine.

Well, what do serums do to our faces?

Serums moisturize and hydrate the skin. Have you ever wondered why crowfeet appears around the eyes? Because hydration is the need by skin like water for plants. It fights the aging signs and is light to use. Meanwhile, the product texture fights the environmental stressor and reduces the irritation and inflammation.

Water-based and oil-based serums are used by the masses. However, I would prefer water-based over oil-based, because of pores congestion. Use it thrice a week or daily.

Moisturizer

Now, lock the hydration of your skin by applying moisturizer. You don’t want to lose your hard work until now. Moisturizer not only protects the skin's lipid barrier but also heals the specific issues on the top layer of the skin.

It makes the skin brighter, healthy, and even tone. Use it every day, skip a meal but don’t forget to apply moisturizer.

Sunblock

Lazy?

Don’t be, it’s the last one. Sunblock is a must-have product. To avoid UV rays, sunburn and inflammation on the face sunblock is necessary. We have read that sun rays fall on our skin and produce Vitamin D. But these are for early mornings. The bright sunlight is not healthy at all. It causes wrinkles and fine lines. The skin looks aged before time. Keep your spirit up and select a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Apply it after every 2-3 hours in a day. It doesn’t matter if you are out or in; sunblock protects the skin and makes a protective layer for direct sunlight.

Now, we have discussed all the skincare steps. Still, we lack something and that’s the essence of the skincare. Did you see a machine that is rusted inside but still gives 100% output?

No! Me too.

So, the first step is to take care of the internal parts of the machine. The oiling is good, no rust, the chains are working, the brakes are responding, and whatever the accessories are working, right? Then how can we forget about ours?

The human body is like a machine. If you want your customized skin care routine to work then you will have to follow the basic life principles.

Let’s discuss them one by one

·      Drink plenty of water. Scientists refer to drinking 2-2.5 liters of water every day. A hydrated body gives a glow to your face and keeps the skin healthy.

·         Avoid junk---it doesn’t mean quit junk but reduce the amount of bad carbs from your diet as much as possible. Especially, if late-night cravings hit you hard shift to healthy snacks. Popcorns are the healthy ones.

·         Face exercises, an underrated skincare hack. Face exercises help to lift the loose skin and boost the collagen. It has the same impact as the workout on our body. With age, our body starts losing collagen production which ultimately wrinkles the skin. When you leave your skin alone it leaves you too. Most of the certified consultants are running YouTube channels for better depiction; visit them.

·         Proper sleep—the soul hack. When we discuss sleep we start counting hours. 8 hours, 10 hours, and 7 hours, it’s a matter of sleep quality, not the quantity. Quality sleep means deep sleep, when you wake up you feel fresh and recharged. So, get quality sleep in a serene area with lights off. You will be amazed at the results. Not only your skin will get better but also your sleep patterns improve with time.

Tips

Consistency is the key. These are not the products that brighten up your skin it’s your daily actions. A little but daily dose of skin care will leave you amazed.

Long story short, a customized skincare routine with consistency does wonders. Protect your skin outside as well as inside. Pick the best products according to your skin type. Do not settle for cheap products. Buy one but a good one.
