Let’s first learn what is superfood.

There’s no exact definition of superfood. Typically, superfood is known as powerhouse nutrients with very low calories. They have high amounts of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.

Now the question may arise in your mind, what are anti-oxidants?

Anti-oxidants are those substances that protect the cells from the damage that is caused by the process of oxidation during normal metabolism.

As I mentioned earlier that superfoods are the powerhouse of nutrients. Our body needs them to live a healthy life because they prevent major problems like heart disease, obesity, obesity, diabetes and some cancers, etc.

SUPERFOODS THAT YOU CAN EASILY ADD TO YOUR DIET:

Some superfoods are relatively costly and not everyone can afford them. However, don’t worry, because I am going to make a list of affordable superfoods that are still in high in nutrients.

·       Leafy green vegetables.

Leafy green vegetables like Spanish and collard green are very rich in vitamins like A, C, E, and K and they contain plenty of magnesium and calcium.

·       Legumes.

Legumes are high in fibre, they contain anti-oxidants. Legumes are a very wide category and they include plenty of options like beans, peas, lentils etc.

·       Yogurt.

Yogurt is very rich in calcium, protein, and probiotic which means it can boost the immune system. You can make yogurt at home too.

·       Sweet potato.

 Sweet potatoes are very rich  in vitamins like A, E, B6, and potassium. They reduce the risk of many diseases, make our skin healthier, boost the  immune system, etc. Sweet potatoes have many benefits, are easily available in the market and are affordable too.

Other than these, there are so many affordable superfoods in the market which you can easily find according to your likes.

TIPS TO ADD SUPERFOODS INTO YOUR DAILY LIFE.

  •        If you don’t eating fruits then try freshly made juices.
  •         If you don’t like eating meat then start with some lentils as they are also high in protein.
  •     Start adding small portions of any super food in your every meal.
