Well, fear not, as we searched the earth(and the internet) to find the top 7 superfoods that not only boost your health but also taste delicious.

So be ready to rock your taste buds with these nutrient-packed powerhouses.

Blueberries

Small and mighty. If superfoods smoothies are the things you want, drop blueberries in your blender. They are not only high in taste but also pack a powerful nutritional punch.

Blueberries are an excellent source of antioxidants that help protect cells from free radicals and potential risks of heart disease and cancer.

A report says that they are rich in anthocyanin which not only gives them sharp color but also a strong antioxidant effect.

Additionally, antioxidants in blueberries are vital for hair and nail growth and for the skin too

Besides this, I have a good news for you. Guess what? Bueberries can play a role in weight loss. So calling it a superfood is worth it all.

Seafood

Seafood is often considered a superfood because of its high protein content and health benefits. It contains a lot of nutrients, especially omega-3 fatty acids.

Unlike many other animal products high in saturated fats like red meat, seafood is rich in DHA and EPA, and both are considered good fats.

Omega-3 fatty acids play a role in alleviating depression and reducing the risk of stroke. They are also beneficial against heart diseases.

Intake of these “good fats”  is very low in women and children. So always try to add seafood to your weekly diet plans if you fall in above-mentioned group.

Leafy greens

Dark, leafy greens deserve a spot in your diet if they are not in. Leafy greens include spinach, kale, avocados, etc. are nutrient rich.

Greens are considered superfoods because of their high-profile nutrient. They are low in calories but high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

Leafy greens contain flavonoids that are anti-inflammatory and protect the body from free radicals. And therefore reduce the risk of cancer and heart diseases.

Greenies contain vitamin C and K which are good for immune system and bone health respectively.

Additionally, they also contain valuable minerals such as calcium iron, and magnesium which are  equally important for the body.

So add those greens to your diet plan for a healthy lifestyle.

Eggs

It doesn't matter who came first but thanks to the chicken for laying eggs.

It is normally considered a superfood due to its nutrients rich composition.

Eggs are rich in proteins and low in heavy fats. They are also full of vitamins and minerals which make them an exceptional food.

They are low in calories which makes it an excellent choice for breakfast.

Last but not least there is versatility in cooking eggs. Yesss! We can cook it in a variety of ways from omelets to fried ones. Plus they are cooked in a minute so favorite of mine.

Nuts

Nuts and nut butter are mighty sources to add proteins, fibers, and monounsaturated fats to your diet.

They contain monounsaturated fats which play a role in heart health.

Walnuts are especially healthy because besides reducing bad cholesterol and possibly lowering arterial inflammation they are rich in antioxidants and vitamins crucial for health.

Nuts keep you full for longer so they also can play role in weight loss.

Calling them superfood is the right decision.

Olive oil

Ohh my grandma used to tell me its benefits.

Olive oil is also considered a superfood because of its high mineral and protein-enriched nature.

It also contains polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats that are beneficial for overall health and heart health particularly.

Olive oil is also high in antioxidants such as polyphenols which reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer and potential heart diseases.

Olives also assist in weight loss, reduce the risk of diabetes type 2 and improve overall brain function.

Use it over salad or in frying as it tastes much better than other oils. Also try to use olive oil instead of cooking oil or fat oil.

Yogurt

It is a good friend for the heart bones and for the immune system as it contains “friendly bacteria”. You guess it right. I'm talking about yogurt.

They also avert the risk of diabetes type 2.

Prebiotics in yogurt are very beneficial as they boost our immune system and also reduce the risk of potential infections of the urinary tract.

Keep in mind that flavored yogurt contains sugars that are unhealthy for the body. So always try to add unflavored yogurt in your diet.
